Thank you so much to all the teams who came out to compete in the Axtell FFA Tug a War Contest and help raise funds for wildfire relief in Nebraska! A special thank you to Fox Fit for letting us use your rope. In the youth division the winning team was the Blue Team and in the adult division the winning team was the Black Sheep.

The FFA officer team spent Thursday and Friday at COLT (chapter officer leadership training) Conference. Students learned more about their office positions, networked with other students and started planning for the upcoming year.

Thirty-four members of the Axtell staff competed in the Axtell Appalachian Trail Challenge by joining a team and competing for miles earned through health and wellness activities. Congratulations to team Fruity Pebbles made up of Ryan Ambrose, Mandy Strolberg, Tina Peterson, Tonya Robinson, Tina Silvers, and Kelli Nickel for winning the challenge by going the most miles! Due to impending weather, there are a couple of changes to the district track schedule tomorrow at Sandy Creek. Pole vault, shot and discus will begin at 8:45. Running events will start at 11:15. The break will be 20 minutes instead of 30.
