Superintendent News
Dear Parents,
The Nebraska Department of Education and the Commissioner of Education is allowing school districts reasonable flexibility to make changes to their master calendar for the 2021-2022 school year. This will allow us to provide our teachers with more professional learning opportunities, along with classroom planning and preparation time due to the continued concerns over the Coronavirus.
With all that being said, Axtell Community School will not be in session on Friday, February 18th and Friday, February 25th to allow our teachers this opportunity for professional growth.
We hope you enjoy your upcoming extended weekends with your families.
Thank You,
Rob Gregory
Superintendent
Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and we would like to encourage those parents who want to give gifts to their children to do so at home. The process of having gifts delivered to school creates a disruption in the school day and can lead to hurt feelings for many students. This applies to birthdays and special occasions as well. Thank you for your cooperation and sensitivity in this matter.
